2026 Lineup

September 1: shelldhn

Born and raised in Nashville, shelldhn is an R&B artist, songwriter, producer, and saxophonist. With roots in the church and influences ranging from D’Angelo and Usher to Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, his sound blends soulful vocals, rich musicality, and timeless emotion. His debut album, “That’s Hot,” introduced his bold artistic vision and versatility. As he continues to evolve, shelldhn remains committed to creating immersive music that pushes R&B forward.

September 8: Alex Murphy Trio

Hailing from Chicago, Alex Murphy grew up in a family of musicians who emphasized musical exploration at an early age and strongly supported the growth of his passion for jazz. That passion led him into continued study at DePaul University under the tutelage of Ron Perrillo and Dana Hall. He was featured in a master class at the Chicago Symphony with piano great Bill Charlap and has been featured in the Chicago Jazz Festival and others. Most recently, Alex can be seen featured on NPR’s “Top Shelf” for a Tiny Desk submission that he helped produce with artist and Nashville native Brian Brown. Alex’s relationship with Brian has made a distinct voice for Alex’s artistry.

September 15: Esi

Esi (AY-see) is a first generation Ghanaian American. She’s a Nashville-born songwriter whose sound broadens the alternative R&B and neo-soul lineage. She’s opened nationally for Kirk Franklin, The Roots, Gary Clark Jr., CimaFunk, and Red Clay Strays. She’s performed at the Blue Note Tokyo, The Fillmore, the Grand Ole Opry, and more. At just 22 years old, Esi is a force in the world of songwriting, notably working in music advocacy as a member of the Recording Academy.

September 22: Pump Action

Pump Action has been described as a drunk backflip off a moving vehicle, executed with perfect form. Hailing from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, Pump Action exemplifies a new wave of funk rock that reflects a refined knowledge of jazz fusion techniques. Expect high flying guitar solos and soaring vocals, all rooted in a groove that is anything but restrained. Pump Action honors the breakneck motion of their funk forefathers to keep audiences on their feet and their jaws on the floor.

September 29: Elliott Robinson

Elliott Robinson’s musical tastes come right out of his dad’s record cabinet: everything from Bach to Bacharach, Mozart to Motown. He is a Nashville-based actor, singer, and voiceover artist with an extensive background in musical theater. Elliott brings a genuinely soulful take on classic American music, infusing his vocal stylings with hints of blues, gospel, and R&B. Elliott helps lead programming in the Civil Rights Room at the Main Library.

October 6: Jess Nolan

Jess Nolan is a Nashville-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist whose work bridges indie-folk, rock, and soul pop. Nolan has been recognized for her emotionally resonant songwriting and atmospheric production. Jess also has built a respected career as a collaborator and musician, touring and recording with many artists. Known for her expressive piano work, harmony vocals, and versatile musicianship, she has become a sought-after presence both on stage and in the studio.

October 13: Walker Burroughs

Walker Burroughs makes music steeped in a choice of joy and hope, composed of folky, wooden sounds that tell stories of life and love through a grounded connection to the natural world. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Walker grew up loving every kind of music except for country, but now credits his bluegrassy-folk conversion to the likes of Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, and John Denver. His music is full of stories from his years-long journey toward understanding who he is, while reflecting back on important and funny moments in his life.
